Getting Smart in Our Neighborhoods

Time for another Providencehood. It’s our regular excuse to get together with friends, neighbors and other small businesses from the Creative Capital, or the entire Ocean State for that matter. Rhode Island may be small but we've got a vibrant local community with a positive outlook on the world. Let's face it, we can all use some local support.

All we ask is that you bring your enthusiasms and inspirations. We’ll supply the accoutrements and libations. We’ve got cocktails from Bootblack brand, food from Sin Bakery, beer from Narragansett Brewery and neighbors at Long Live Beerworks. For you dog lovers out there we've got some neat prizes and special dog treats from Jack Snacks. Plus, we're offering a chance to contribute to the good will of the RI Companion Animal Foundation, which helps to provide compassionate veterinary care to pets who can't afford it. That's Thursday, 7-9 pm, at our place.

Speaking of dog treats, we’ve launched our new Cleverpup capes with a bit of fanfare. Got a nice banner in the Providence Business News: "Cleverhood Unveils Cleverpup Rainwear for Dogs." The good folks at Dog-Milk gave us a nice hit. And up in the Hub the Boston Globe offered readers sound advice: "Be Your Own Superhero: Wear a Cape." That article included an important little nugget. “The name ‘Cleverhood’ is all about being smart in your neighborhood.”

With the onset of April Showers, we're starting the month off with a trip to Brooklyn and the Fool's Gold Men's Market. Be sure to catch us there, if you're local that is.
